Living a Relevant Christian life

Living in the Know

Believe it or not, I’m a bit of a doomsday prepper—well, not fully all in—but I do prepare for possible catastrophic events.

And honestly, I believe every Christian should.

Not out of fear, but out of stewardship and understanding of the future.

You and I have the answers for the future.

His name is Jesus, and He is returning.

The Focus of Our Lesson

Today’s lesson isn’t about pre‑trib, post‑trib, or preterist debates.

Many scholars get caught up in those arguments and declare themselves the top authorities.

But in reality, they’re missing the point.

They’re ignorant—not of theology—but of focus.

Because the truth is simple:

We should be ready no matter what scenario unfolds.

Not living in fear or calamity, but presenting to the world God’s perfect plan.

One thing is certain:

Jesus is returning, and His Kingdom will be on planet Earth.

Scripture Foundation

John 14:3

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

1 Thessalonians 4:16

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.”

It’s clear—Jesus is returning.

And it’s equally clear that all believers should be in the know and prepared for His return.

When the world goes crazy, you and I remain calm and at peace—because we know our redemption draws near.

Matthew 25:13

“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.”

1 Peter 4:7

“The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.”

How to Live in the Know

So how do we live “in the know”?

How do we prepare without fear, and lead others with peace?

Here are five practical truths:

1. Understand the Seasons and the Times

The world isn’t “getting worse”—it’s been broken since sin entered in.

But we can see signs of His return.

We’re not called to panic; we’re called to perceive.

2. Be Calm and Present Peace

God has called us to be calm and to present peace to the world, no matter the chaos around us.

Our peace is a testimony.

3. Never Forget Your Purpose

We are here to share the Gospel, love God, and love our neighbor.

That’s the heartbeat of living in the know.

4. Be Prepared to Help Others

When bad things happen, we should be ready—not just spiritually, but practically.

Preparedness allows us to serve others in their time of need.

5. Stay Prayerful and Steward What God Has Given

Prayer keeps us aligned with God’s will.

Stewardship keeps us faithful with what He’s entrusted to us.

A Biblical Example: Joseph

Remember the story of Joseph.

He interpreted Pharaoh’s dream and prepared Egypt for seven years of famine.

He didn’t panic—he prepared.

He lived his life in the know.

Just like Joseph, we know what’s coming.

We know Jesus is returning.

And we prepare—not out of fear, but out of faith.

Closing Reflection

So, let me ask you:

Are you living in the know?

Are you preparing your heart, your home, and your life for His return?

Because living in the know isn’t about storing food or building bunkers—it’s about storing faith, wisdom, and peace.

Jesus said He’s coming back.

And when He does, may He find us ready, faithful, and full of hope.
