Relevant Life

e-Sword Joel 2:1  Blow the ram’s horn in Zion. Sound the alarm on my holy mountain. Everyone who lives in the land should tremble, because the day of the LORD is coming. Certainly, it is near.

I can’t put my finger on it, but I sense something changing or has changed in the spiritual world. We all know it has to manifest in God’s glory first before it is manifested to his people here on earth.

Am I saying the Lord is returning in a couple days? I can’t say that with certainty nor would I ever predict His return. We are not called to do so anyway. We are called to be ready. We are called to double the gift he has given us. We are called to have a strong relationship with our Lord. If you are doing those things then you are set. You are ready!

So what am I saying?

When the people of Israel blew the Shofar ( Ram’s horn); it was for many different reasons.

1. Getting ready for battle.
2. Come together for the assembly
3. God has won the victory
4. For Celebration
5. For the beginning of the Feast of Tabanacles
6. For a call of repentance and reflection

What horn is being blown during this current moment? ( Figuratively speaking) I have had this verse in the book of Joel in my spirit all day today. I believe the horn that is being blown during this time is one of repentance and reflection. It is one of calling us to take action and look deep within ourselves. It is time to be released from sinful shackles. It is time to be free from addictions and hidden sins. It is time to return to the Lord with full hearts. We are in the days of repentance.

Is the Lord returning? One day He will return and one day there will be the resurrection of the Saints. I do believe we don’t know the day or time but we do know the season. A season much like the one we are entering in. I believe there is a connection with the Feast of Tabernacles. This is why Fall season is one of my favorite seasons.

Now I am not saying that Jesus is returning this week. Again I don’t know. What I do know is that our Lord says be ready regardless. I am sounding the alarm for this reason. I am blowing the horn for this reason. He is calling us to something great. I can feel it. I can sense it. It is something different that I have not recognized before for my forty years walking with the Lord. I can spiritually hear the Shofar blowing now. Allow the sound penetrate deep within your soul and spirit. Let it alter your current state. May it open our eyes to His purpose during this hour.
