Deu 34:8 The Israelites mourned for Moses in the plains of Moab for 30 days. Then the time of mourning for him was over.
Deu 34:9 Joshua, son of Nun, was filled with the Spirit of wisdom, because Moses had laid his hands on him. The Israelites obeyed him and did what the LORD had commanded through Moses.
Deu 34:10 There has never been another prophet in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD dealt with face to face.

Deu 34:12 Moses used his mighty hand to do all the spectacular and awe-inspiring deeds that were seen by all the Israelites.
Moses was used mightily by the Lord and was declared as a prophet unlike any other. There is a powerful message that we can learn from Moses death. The below are some truths which believers can claim for their faith.
1. Moses knew he was going to die and when. ( Numbers 20:12, Numbers 27:12-13). Spiritual truth revealed. Can a closeness with the Lord determine our time of passing from this planet and into the arms of Him? Can we know when it is time to finish the race here? Paul the apostle seemed to talk about running the race and coming to a finish line. I believe we can know the end of our destiny if we are embedded in the presence of our Lord.
2. Moses died in secrecy and in humility. If Moses’ body was buried by the Israelites ; they would have made a shrine to it. Moses’ death shows us that we come into this world by the grace of God and we leave this world by that same grace. There is a beauty of just leaving this world in total mystery. It leaves the world seeing that all our hope is and was in the Lord. A vapor floating away into the wind.
3. Moses did not die with ailments. Moses had perfect eyesight and had his same physical strength as when he was a young man. Can we have the same hope? Do we have to die with sickness or diseases? Moses died believing that one day the Messiah would come. We live during a time where the Messiah has already come and sits on the right hand side of the Father. By his stripes, we are healed and set free from sickness.
4. Moses mentored a replacement. Too many times in ministry, well intended men and women of God make it about themselves. Moses humbly accepted his fate and passed the baton to the next leader. Can we learn from Moses? Should we mentor others so they can carry the torch of God’s truth? This truth does not belong to us; it belongs to the living God.
5. Moses’ legacy was not his own. The way Moses died limited a man made legacy. Moses’ legacy was tethered to the Living God who he met at the burning bush. All the miracles, all the healings, and all the godly actions which Moses displayed gave glory to the Living God. This is the true legacy of man.
May we learn these truths from Moses’ death. His ministry started off with a selfish act but his death demonstrated his humility before the Lord.
