There is a heartbeat for the nations. God desires for all to come to his perfect will and understanding. His heart beats for the world to be right again and right again shall it come. All creation is crying out for the return of God’s perfect reign.

For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
God’s mercy is upon us and we see why He has not returned yet.
I. The Separation of Mankind from their Creator.
a. The act of Sin separates us from the companionship of God almighty.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
b. The act of Sin brings us to a place of Spiritual death and one-day eternal death.

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Romans 6:23 (KJV)
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 8:12-13 (KJV)
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. [13] For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
c. God has given us the understanding and the knowledge of what separates us from Him.

Therefore by the deeds of the law, there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
d. The act of Sin is a direct result of Satan’s direction.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it.

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; [2] Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: [3] Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
II. God’s Desire for the Nations.
a. God’s passion for the nations.
1. He brings them to a place of helplessness to see His goodness.
a. Job 12:23-24 (KJV)
He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations and straightened them again. [24] He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.
1. God allows the enlarging or expansion of nations but there is coming a day when He will straighten them out. He will allow them to come to a place of understanding in him.
2. He is the true Governor of the Nations.
a. Psalm 22:27-28 (KJV)
All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. [28] For the kingdom is the Lord\’s: and he is the governor among the nations.
1. Governor means to rule or have power over.
2. Here we see God’s choice for mankind is fulfilled. He has chosen us all. His will is set out before us. We must align our will with the Father’s.
3. God shall inherit the earth again and fulfill His holy purpose in it.
a. Psalm 82:8 (KJV)
Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
Psalm 86:9 (KJV)
All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.
b. Inherit means to occupy or to take as a heritage. God’s plans are for the nations. He wishes to see the nations return to him no matter what. We play an important role.
b. Prophetic sayings about the nations and God.
1. His righteousness shall spring up before them.
a. Isaiah 61:11 (KJV)
For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
2. God will use the nations to bring many Jews to faith. The nations will come and worship before His very presence.
a. Isaiah 66:18-20 (KJV)
For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory. [19] And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles. [20] And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the Lord out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the Lord, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord.
3. All nations will walk away from their evil hearts.
a. Jeremiah 3:17 (KJV)
At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.
III. Our purpose in all of this.
A. Understand our authority in Christ.
1. Rev. 2:26 (KJV)
And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
a. We are given power over nations in the future and partially here. We can make a declaration and believe God for the impossible.
B. We must Pray for the nations that God has put directly on our hearts.
c. We must allow our mission\’s outreach to be just as important as our local outreach.
D. We must be willing to reach out to all people groups with wisdom and insight as the Holy Spirit leads.
e. We must preach Christ’s ultimate healing for all nations now and forever.

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manners of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
