Zechariah 14:8-9 GW On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it to the Dead Sea and the other half to the Mediterranean Sea. It will continue in summer and in winter. (9) The LORD will be king over all the earth. On that day the LORD will be the only Lord and his name the only name.
It is important for us to understand that we are living in the last days. What does last days mean? It means that God’s dispensation for mankind is almost over. He has allowed everything to come to this point and time in our human history. Let’s take a look at God’s dispensation for mankind throughout the centuries for a brief moment.
God created Adam and Eve. He desired for Adam and Eve to populate the earth with human beings who willfully cried out to their creator. Adam and Eve’s sin set the ball rolling for God’s plan for man. Once sin entered the world; planet earth experienced the shorting of days. What would have been eternity is now today, tomorrow, or yesterday. What would have been a lifetime with the Father is now our very own human saga. God did not have any other choice but to plan mankind’s end of days.
There will be a millennial reign of Christ coming to our planet in the near future. All events around the world today indicate that the Lord’s timeline is quickly approaching. Could we see our Lord return in the next 10 to 15 years? The possibility is highly likely. As technology increases and mankind’s dependency on self increases then the Lord will return.
“But you, Daniel, keep these words secret, and seal the book until the end times. Many will travel everywhere, and knowledge will grow.”(Daniel 12:4 GW)
When that day comes, the world will enter into a new era. The world will see Jesus in all of his glory. He will be King over all the planet and the world will enter a theocratic state. If you are not a follower of Christ; you may think “ So God is going to make everyone worship Him and follow Him no matter what.” “ We will be under a Theocracy without free thought.” Well the answer is no. When the Lord reveals Himself to the world; the world will gladly welcome His presence and leadership. Before the return of the Lord, the planet will undergo horrible things due to Satan’s evil power.
Revelation 20:1-6 GW
(1) I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key to the bottomless pit and a large chain in his hand.
(2) He overpowered the serpent, that ancient snake, named Devil and Satan. The angel chained up the serpent for 1,000 years.
(3) He threw it into the bottomless pit. The angel shut and sealed the pit over the serpent to keep it from deceiving the nations anymore until the 1,000 years were over. After that it must be set free for a little while.
(4) I saw thrones, and those who sat on them were allowed to judge. Then I saw the souls of those whose heads had been cut off because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its statue and were not branded on their foreheads or hands. They lived and ruled with Christ for 1,000 years.
(5) The rest of the dead did not live until the 1,000 years ended. This is the first time that people come back to life.
(6) Blessed and holy are those who are included the first time that people come back to life. The second death has no power over them. They will continue to be priests of God and Christ. They will rule with him for 1,000 years.
The Good news is that Satan will be forever defeated by our Lord. That is why he is picked up his game towards the human race. He is deceiving so many because he knows his time is quickly coming to an end. Rejoice in the fact that Satan is defeated forever!
Revelation 20:7-10 GW
(7) When 1,000 years are over, Satan will be freed from his prison.
(8) He will go out to deceive Gog and Magog, the nations in the four corners of the earth, and gather them for war. They will be as numerous as the grains of sand on the seashore.
(9) I saw that they spread over the broad expanse of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s holy people and the beloved city. Fire came from heaven and burned them up.
(10) The devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the fiery lake of sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet were also thrown. They will be tortured day and night forever and ever.
Our future with the Lord is very promising. We just have to be faithful to his word and resist the devil’s temptations. We have to stay true to his promises and follow his truth. He has given us Holy Spirit who empowers us to overcome to the end. It will not be easy but he is willing and able to make us whole in him.
